This film is special and definitely deserves to be officially selected at this years Sundance Film Fest. It reminded me of my days working in the hospital. Before I even started by job I was a volunteer working with the recreational therapist. The patients were usually over the age of 60 and were all trying to regain the use of their hands and feet, simple things we take for granted. I would throw on some Bing Crosby and help them paint bird houses and make oatmeal cookies. At the time I was too young to realize the importance of this encounter. Looking back I wish I would have appreciated my time more. That is what we are all fighting against…time. We are too busy planning our futures or regretting our pasts to know whats happening right now, in this moment. But they were wise enough to know that time was their gift, something they appreciated everyday.
Watch this film as a reminder of how important it is to love your life, and really love it right now.
